Salt Lake County criminal records are divided among city police departments, the Sheriff's Office, Utah District and Justice Courts, the Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the Utah Department of Corrections. This private resource organizes those official channels so readers can identify the custodian that holds a court file, booking entry, personal Utah history, supervision record, or registry profile.

Why We Built This Site

Utah's systems answer different questions. The Salt Lake County Sheriff keeps county booking and jail material. District and Justice Court clerks maintain filed charges, docket events, and dispositions. The Utah Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Identification provides a fingerprint-based Right of Access process; its forms index and identification rules support that process. UDC maintains state custody and supervision, while the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole makes parole decisions. These boundaries make it easier to start with the correct source.
